RSPCA – Cupcake Day

I was delighted to be part of the RSCPA Cupcake Day in honour of my beloved family pet who recently passed away, a beautiful dog named Honey. Animals are often such a big part of the family, and she was always a much loved and valued member of ours.

The RSPCA put together this fundraiser to help fight against cruelty towards animals, and this is a cause I strongly support. In my efforts to help raise funds, I baked sweet treats for everyone, including a wide array of delicious cupcakes. I also made sure that there were treats for the dogs by making mini Puppy Cupcakes full of shredded carrot, smooth peanut butter, honey, natural wholemeal flour, vanilla extract and egg. (Please see recipe below)

  • 1 cup natural wholemeal flour
  •  1/4 cup smooth peanut butter*
  •  1/4 cup vegetable oil
  •  1 cup shredded carrots
  •  1 tsp vanilla
  •  1/3 cup honey
  •  1 egg

  • 1 cup of smooth peanut butter
  • 1 cup of mini dog biscuits

  1. Mix all ingredients together
  2. Bake at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes

For decorating

  1. Once cupcakes are cooled
  2. Add smooth peanut butter to a piping bag and make small swirls on each cupcake
  3. Top off with one dog biscuit

I spent the day down at Hillary’s Animal Beach with my friend Deborah and we managed to sell every last cupcake — raising over $350! Everyone was so kind and supportive and stopped to have a chat, and the best part was I got to play with so many adorable puppies.

    Hi Louise (once again!!)

What a great cause!!! it is so great that you are out and about supporting something you believe in. I believe we should all treat animals with love and respect. I made those cupcakes for my furry friend, and he gobbled them all up. When is the next event, and when can I get involved?

    Lots of love,
